It is now available the registration for the Ebbe Nielsen GBIF challenge that replaces the usual Ebbe Nielsen award. This challenge aims to inspire scientists, informatics, data modelers, cartographers and other specialists to innovate and create new applications in the area of free access to biodiversity data in a competition for a 1st prize of 20 000€ and 2nd prize of 5 000€.
The work of the participants will be evaluated by a jury of experts from the IT community for Biodiversity, selecting six finalists who will dispute the final prize. These finalists will receive a prize of 1 000€.
The registration is available until 2 March 2015 and can be made through the official challenge page, where all the information necessary for submission of the proposal is available.
