Coordenador do Nó

Biólogo, nascido na Madeira, Portugal, em 1969, é investigador auxiliar do Instituto Superior de Agronomia desde 2015. Obteve o grau de mestre pelo Instituto Superior Técnico em 1996 e de doutor pela Universidade de Lisboa em 2002. Foi Investigador Auxiliar do Instituto de Investigação Científica Tropical entre 2008 e 2015, onde foi biocurador das bases de dados biológicas. Desenvolve investigação em informática para a biodiversidade e em biogeografia e modelação da distribuição de espécies, com integração de modelação de nicho ecológico, análise multivariada e geoestatística. Publicou três livros e um total de 70 artigos científicos, 37 dos quais em revistas internacionais com revisão científica. É coordenador do Nó Português do GBIF desde 2013.
 

Tainan Messina

Gestora de Actividades

Tainan é gestora das actividades do Nó Português do GBIF. É licenciada em ciências biológicas, mestre em botânica e especialista em políticas sobre alterações climáticas e desenvolvimento sustentável. Anteriormente, desenvolveu investigação em conservação da biodiversidade no Brasil, coordenou actividades para a elaboração de listas vermelhas da flora brasileira e contribuiu para análise e elaboração de políticas públicas para a conservação da biodiversidade no país.
