On April 25, 2019, it was held in Luanda the Workshop on the participation of Angola in the International Center for Scientific Research in the Atlantic (Air Center) and in the Global Biodiversity Information Facility (GBIF). Representatives of research institutions and companies were invited to this workshop organized by the Ministry of Higher Education, Technology and Innovation to raise awareness among employees of public institutions, researchers and the private sector about the benefits of participating in the Air Center and the GBIF, with which the country had just signed the memorandum of understanding to confirm membership as an associated participant. In the opening session, the coordinator of the Portuguese Node of GBIF had the opportunity to make a remote presentation on the organization. The workshop had the following agenda:
