As part of the GBIF Governing Board 31 program, BIOPOLIS organises the symposium "Using GBIF to mainstream biodiversity in governments, the private sector, and society" on Wednesday, 02 October 2024. It will take place at the Campus de Vairão, Auditório CIBIO, Vairão, Vila do Conde, starting at 9:30h, local time. The attendance to the symposium is open and free to all the community, either in person, or virtual.
The symposium is made of two parts. The morning is dedicated to the progress updates on the GBIF Implementation Plan, provided by the GBIF Secretariat. In the afternoon, experts and practitioners from several sectors share their experience on supporting policy responses and knowledge transfer that address urgent societal challenges on biodiversity and sustainability.
