The Portuguese Node of GBIF, together with the Spanish Node and the Food, Farming and Forestry (F3) College of the University of Lisbon, launched in April 2017 the questionnaire on the use of information on agrobiodiversity, within the framework of the Agrotraining project. The aim was to identify the needs on the use of biodiversity information in the field of Agrobiodiversity, by different actors.

Summary
This project aims to describe reporting processes and data flows in five European countries, investigate how GBIF could facilitate reporting and recommend changes to GBIF tools/procedures, if needed. Best practices will be identified, summarized and spread to all European countries.
The project will be articulated around two phases:
GBIF Portugal, GBIF Spain and College Food, Farming and Forestry (F3) of the University of Lisbon are launching a call for applications to the regional training course Use of Agrobiodiversity information in GBIF and other databases which takes place on 28, 29 and 30 of June, in Lisbon. The workshop is an initiative developed in the scope of the project Agrotraining, which is supported by the GBIF CESP programme.
It was launch today by GBIF Portugal, GBIF Spain and College Food, Farming and Forestry (F3) of the University of Lisbon the QUESTIONNAIRE ON THE NEEDS IN THE USE OF AGROBIODIVERSITY INFORMATION, run under the scope of the project Agrotraining which aims at uncovering needs of biodiversity information in the domain of Agrobiodiversity.
On the 26th of January, the workshop Increasing the value of Agrobiodiversity and the importance of biodiversity databases for wine production was held in Lisbon, as an activity of the project Agrotraining, which is funded by GBIF CESP 2016 programme.
